If a leak is found during a leak test we are happy to carry out repairs.
Many older fuel tanks were riveted with the end joints lead loaded, lead loading is the best way of repairing leaks on seams or welded repair areas and is our preferred method.
Every fuel tank is different, the following factors will determine the cost:
Rust to the inside of fuel tanks builds up over the years and can become a problem to the vehicle over time to the point where particles of rust block up fuel filters and carburetters.
Due to our long term success servicing the Classic Car market we have perfected a method over the last three years of successfully removing rust and leaving the inside of the fuel tank in bright metal.

We believe it is important not to use any sealers or paint products to seal the rust in, it is better to remove the problem rather than to hide it.
Once we have cleaned the inside we will then carry out a leak test, if all is ok we will then prepare and spray the outside of your fuel tank.
